Med Learning Group acquires Throughline

Torys acted as counsel to Med Learning Group with a team led by Zehra Sheerazi and that included Clare Chapman, Brianna Pioli and Stephen Mapplebeck (corporate/M&A), Tom Stevenson and Parker Baglole (employment), Sue Fei (regulatory and IP), Saira Bhojani, Benjamin Mann and Ian Farndon (tax).

On December 16, 2024, Med Learning Group, LLC (“Med Learning Group”) acquired Throughline Strategy Inc. (“Throughline”). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Throughline is an applied insights and strategy consulting firm that partners with organizations across the healthcare ecosystem—including advocacy groups and patient associations, biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device and digital healthcare companies—to improve health experiences and outcomes, and drive business results.

Med Learning Group is a full-service accredited continuing medical education (“CME”) company, focuses on developing and implementing CME that improves physicians’ and nurses’ ability to provide optimal care to their patients. It is a portfolio company of DW Healthcare Partners, a healthcare-focused private equity firm, managing six funds with over US$1.6 billion assets under management.
