H.I.S. U.S.A. invests in Space Perspective

Torys acted as counsel to H.I.S. U.S.A. with a team that included Don Bell, Mohammed Muraj, Steven Slavens and Robin Asgari (corporate/M&A).

On September 12, 2023, H.I.S. U.S.A. Holding, Inc. (“HIS USA”), the U.S. subsidiary of H.I.S. Corporation (“H.I.S.”), announced that it invested in Space Perspective, Inc. (“Space Perspective”), a human spaceflight experience company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

H.I.S. started selling Space Perspective flights in January 2023 through subsidiary, Qualita Corporation. With this new investment, HIS USA will support Space Perspective as a strategic partner to promote space travel and make it more accessible to customers. HIS USA will also seek to offer future commercial flights departing from additional locations in Asia, once expansion plans are realized.

HIS USA also obtained exclusive sales rights for three years to sell Spaceship Neptune in Japan and start sales to Japanese customers residing overseas as September 2023.
