Brookfield Asset Management completes US$1 billion note offering
On January 29, 2019, Brookfield Asset Management Inc. ("Brookfield") completed its previously announced US$1 billion public offering of senior notes due 2029. The notes have a coupon of 4.850% and were issued at a price equal to 99.821% of their face value for an effective yield of 4.871%.
The notes were issued by Brookfield Finance Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Brookfield, and are fully and unconditionally guaranteed by Brookfield. The net proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate purposes.
