Pennsylvania Turnpike Fiber Optic Broadband Network
Torys acted as counsel to Keystone Broadband Partners (AECOM Capital/John Laing) as a shortlisted proponent for the proposed Pennsylvania Turnpike Fiber Optic Broadband Network PPP project to design, build, finance, operate and maintain a fiber optic broadband network within the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission's right-of-way.
The project, which was cancelled in December 2018, was to provide connectivity for the Commission's cashless tolling system, administrative buildings, tolling systems, intelligent transportation systems, and connected and automated vehicle applications along the 550 mile turnpike.
Torys acted as counsel with a team that included Tara Mackay, Josh Van Deurzen and Jessica Earle.
