Student Transportation closes C$86 million offering of common shares in Canada and the U.S.
On March 6, 2015, Student Transportation Inc. (STI) closed its offering of 11,983,000 common shares (including 1,563,000 common shares sold pursuant to the exercise in full of the underwriters' over-allotment option) at a price of C$7.20 per share for total gross proceeds of C$86 million. The offering was underwritten by a syndicate of underwriters co-led by Scotia Capital Inc. and National Bank Financial Inc., and including BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., TD Securities Inc., Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc., Raymond James Ltd. and HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc.
The net proceeds of the offering will be used to repay debt and for general corporate purposes.
STI is North America's third-largest and most progressive provider of school bus transportation services, operating more than 12,000 vehicles.
