Brookfield issues C$500 million of medium term notes
Torys acted as counsel to Brookfield Asset Management with a team that included Adam Armstrong, Jonathan Cescon, Josh Lavine and David Forrester.
On January 28, 2014, Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (Brookfield) completed its previously announced offering of C$500 million aggregate principal amount of 4.825% medium term notes with a January 2026 maturity. The notes were offered through a syndicate of agents led by CIBC World Markets Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (Canada), Inc., HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc. and RBC Dominion Securities Inc.
The company intends to use the net proceeds of the issue for general corporate purposes.
