Recurrent Energy completes sale to Sharp Corporation
Torys acted as counsel to Recurrent Energy on the Canadian aspects of the transaction with a team that included Philip Symmonds, Valerie Helbronner, Corrado Cardarelli and Andrew Wong (tax), Wilfred Estey and Tyson Dyck.
On November 4, 2010, Recurrent Energy announced the completion of its sale to Sharp Corporation (TSX: 6753). Sharp paid C$305 million in cash to purchase a 100% stake in Recurrent Energy, which is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Sharp.
