407 International establishes C$2 billion medium-term note program
Torys acted as counsel to 407 International with a team that included Glen Johnson, Michael Zackheim and Robbie Leibel (corporate/securities), Sabrina Gherbaz and Gwen Johnson (Real Estate) and Richard Johnson (tax).
On November 18, 2009, 407 International Inc. (407) filed a short-form base shelf prospectus in each of the provinces of Canada to establish a C$2.0 billion medium-term note program. Any notes issued pursuant to the prospectus will be direct secured obligations of 407.
Concurrently with the filing of the prospectus, 407 entered into a dealer agreement with a syndicate of dealers that comprises BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., TD Securities Inc., Scotia Capital Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., Casgrain & Company Limited, CIBC World Markets Inc. and Merrill Lynch Canada Inc.
