
Before joining the firm, Kelsey practiced as a litigation associate at a global law firm in New York. Kelsey also served as a judicial law clerk to former Justice Sheilah L. Martin of the Supreme Court of Canada, and to Justice DeWitt-Van Oosten and former Justice MacKenzie of the Court of Appeal for British Columbia.
While at law school, Kelsey served as a research assistant to professors Isabel Grant and Janine Benedet, KC, and assisted with various projects relating to sexual assault law, including intimate partner violence and the use of sexual history evidence in criminal sexual assault trials. During law school, Kelsey was also the Director of Finance for both the UBC Law Student’s Society and the Allard Law Women’s Caucus. She also mooted in the Gale Cup Moot.
