Tom is known for providing practical, results-oriented advice to major Canadian and international employers in all areas of pension governance and employment law.
Tom is a Partner and the Co-head of the firm’s Pension and Employment group. Tom advises clients across all areas of pension, benefits and employment law, including in the context of corporate and commercial transactions. He also regularly advises clients regarding the interpretation and application of pension, employment, labour and human rights legislation in the workplace, as well as assists clients in the drafting and implementation of pension and employment documentation and practices. Tom is a past-chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Pensions and Benefits Section Executive and recipient of Lexpert’s award for Leading Lawyers Under 40.

Tom has taught as a guest lecturer for the Pension Law Course at the University of Toronto, as well as for the Advanced Business Law Seminar at the University of Windsor.
Tom is the past-chair of the Ontario Bar Association Pensions and Benefits Section, and current Member-at-Large on the Pension and Benefits Section Executive for the Canadian Bar Association. He is also a member of the Labour and Employment Section and the Administrative Law Section, serving as a member of the Lobbying and Ethics Sub-Committee.
