Hanna’s practice focuses on all areas of litigation and dispute resolution, with an emphasis on intellectual property, technology, securities, and other high-stakes commercial and civil matters. She has been involved in trials and arbitrations in the telecom and life sciences spaces, where she had responsibility for working with experts, preparing for examinations, and crafting arguments. Hanna has experience in both the Federal and Ontario Courts, including the Commercial List.
Prior to joining Torys, Hanna was a litigation associate at a full-service law firm in Toronto. She has been active in federal politics and previously worked in Ottawa for a Member of Parliament.
During law school, Hanna was an avid mooter, and worked as an editor on the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review. She was also awarded the course prize in Administrative Law and was a research assistant for Professor Hamish Stewart, Canada’s leading evidence law scholar.
