
Ali has a broad litigation and dispute resolution practice. She litigates complex commercial disputes, with interests in public and regulatory law, family enterprise litigation, major projects and other commercial disputes. Ali has represented clients at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court and appellate and superior courts in Ontario, Alberta and New Brunswick, as well as in international arbitrations.
During law school, Ali worked as a legal intern with the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, was involved with the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights, and participated in and coached the Callaghan Memorial Moot. Ali also worked as a casebook research assistant and as an academic advisor, where she mentored law students as part of the Dean’s Academic Success Program. Ali currently volunteers with the Laws in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program, a high school program that uses legal education as a tool to assist students to succeed in school and become engaged and active citizens.
