Alina’s practice focuses on commercial real estate law. She has experience advising clients on real property acquisitions and dispositions, leasing and financing matters relating to a range of asset classes, including office, commercial, industrial, multi-residential, and vacant land. Alina frequently acts on behalf of pension funds, asset managers and developers as well as energy and infrastructure companies.
Prior to joining Torys, Alina worked at a national law firm.
Alina was awarded the Gowling WLG Prize in Securities Regulation, the Art and Science of Advocacy Prize, the Jack Walker QC Award for Excellence in Legal Ethics and Professionalism, and a Dean’s Gold Key.
Alina also received recognition by Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, for achieving a cumulative academic standing within the top 4% of the Graduating Class of 2021.
Alina is a member of the Association of Women Lawyers, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Law Society of Alberta. She is also a board member of the West Hillhurst Community Association.
Alina clerked with the Court of King's Bench of Alberta in 2022.
