Tasha’s practice focuses on intellectual property matters with an emphasis on the acquisition and protection of patents.
Tasha has experience advising on patentability, validity and infringement, conducting prior art searches, patent drafting and patent prosecution. She has prepared intellectual property agreements, including non-disclosure and service agreements.
A registered patent agent in Canada and the United States, Tasha has worked with a variety of clients, from sole inventors to large companies, to develop and implement strategies for the protection of intellectual property in Canada, the United States and globally.
In addition to a law degree, Tasha has an engineering degree (aerospace) from Carleton University. As a result, Tasha has in-depth knowledge in the areas of mobile devices, medical imaging software, optics, aerospace, automotive and manufacturing systems.

During her undergraduate studies, Tasha interned at a leading aerospace subcontractor where she worked on prominent commercial aircraft projects, including the Airbus A380 jetliner and Bombardier CRJ-700/900 series regional aircraft.
Tasha is a member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, the Toronto Intellectual Property Group (TIPG), the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers and the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute.
Tasha obtained a Certificate in Negotiation in 2015 from Osgoode Hall Law School.
