Shalom is a civil litigator with a broad practice, covering all areas of commercial law. He has a particular focus on construction disputes and data security litigation. On the construction side, Shalom has acted for developers, project lenders, REITs and utility companies in a variety of property-related disputes. On the privacy side, Shalom’s practice focuses on the defence of large scale data breach class actions and data security disputes for clients in a wide range of industries. He also regularly advises clients on privacy law compliance in their businesses.
Shalom has appeared as counsel in arbitrations, at all levels of court in Ontario, and in the courts of Saskatchewan, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and the Yukon.
