
Michele’s practice focuses on corporate law with an emphasis on private fund transactions.
She regularly represents sponsors as well as institutional investors (including fund of funds and pension plans) in connection with the formation of and investment in various funds, including private equity, infrastructure, real estate, credit and venture capital funds. She also regularly advises with respect to co-investment transactions- including relative to the formation of and investment in co-investment vehicles.
She also has experience in private M&A transactions and securities law matters as well.
During law school, Michele was a Case Manager at the Western Business Law Clinic and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and Lawyers Feed the Hungry. She was recognized on the Dean’s Honor List from 2011-2013 and received the Davies LLP Overall Performance Award, the McMillan LLP Award for Property Law and the Michael C. McInerney Award for Property Law.
While articling, Michele volunteered with the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program, a high school program that uses legal education as a tool to assist students to succeed in school and become engaged and active citizens.
