ABA Business Law Fall Meeting 2025

Partner Aaron Emes, partner and co-head of the Torys’ Financial Services practice Blair Keefe, and partner Eli Monas will speak at the American Bar Association (ABA) Business Law Fall Meeting 2025 taking place between September 18-20 in Toronto. The event will bring together global legal professionals for engaging discussions, exploration of current trends and innovations shaping business law, and opportunities to build meaningful connections.

Eli and Blair with speak on the panel “Fireside Chat with Angie Radiskovic, Assistant Superintendent and Chief Strategy and Risk Officer” on September 18 at 2:00 p.m. Separately, Eli will speak on the panel “US Banks Doing Business in Canada” on September 19 at 9:00 a.m.

Aaron with speak on the panel “What Work Do You Need to Do to Support a Legal Opinion? A Cross-Border Perspective” on September 19 at 10:00 a.m. This panel will examine what’s required to give legal opinions, highlighting shared principles, cross-border differences, and opportunities for mutual learning in international transactions.
