Breakfast With Appeal: The “Uncooperative Federalism” edition
The breakfast might be a cup of coffee in your new BWA mug***, but the appeal is the same: a discussion of the most important cases coming out of the appellate courts.
This edition of BWA will focus on the Supreme Court’s recent decision in the Reference re: Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act. In case you did not find the time to read all 405 pages, the BWA team has you covered. The first half of our session will discuss everything you need to know about the decision, including how it impacts both climate change regulation and the future of Canadian federalism. The second half will feature a special guest, Professor Paul Daly from the University of Ottawa, who will join our BWA panelists in discussing some of the complex constitutional questions raised by the divisions in the court.
