Authors
Associates Eliot Che and Molly Reynolds have co-authored “Banking at the tip of your fingers,” an article on the privacy implications of biometrics in banking, for the latest issue of the National Banking Law Review. Biometric technology, as it relates to banking, can include identification for security purposes, such as fingerprint and retina identification. The article discusses current use of biometric technology in the Canadian financial institutions sector, international privacy law around biometrics, and how existing privacy regulation in Canada may evolve to address the new dimensions biometrics are bringing to privacy concerns.
