Greenstone (Hardrock) Project
Located in the Geraldton-Beardmore Greenstone Belt along the Trans-Canada Highway in northern Ontario, 275 km northeast of Thunder Bay and 4 km south of the town of Geraldton, the Greenstone Project encompasses the former Hardrock, MacLeod-Cockshutt and Mosher underground mines and represents one of the most significant large-scale, permitted, mine development opportunities in North America.
The project is owned by Greenstone Gold Mines, a 60/40 partnership between Equinox Gold Corp. and Orion Mine Finance.
Construction on the project began in October 2021, with the first gold pour targeted for H1 2024.
