Bornish Wind Energy Centre
Torys acted as counsel to NextEra Energy Canada in the development and construction of its 73.5 MW Bornish Wind Energy Centre in southwestern Ontario, including the renewable energy approval (REA) application, the related permitting and approval processes, as well as land and municipal road approvals.
Located in Middlesex County, the wind farm covers more than 37,000 acres and consists of 45 GE XLE 1.6 MW turbines, capable of generating enough electricity to power more than 18,375 homes.
