BIOTECanada granted leave to intervene in Supreme Court case

On January 28, 2008, BIOTECanada was granted leave to intervene in a Supreme Court of Canada case, Apotex Inc. v. Sanofi-Synthelabo Canada Inc., et al., which concerns the application of selection patents in Canada.
BIOTECanada is Canada's national association of biotechnology companies, committed to ensuring the sustainable commercial development of biotechnology in Canada.
BIOTECanada will make submissions on behalf of its member companies, which rely on selection patents for the protection of their inventions in Canada.
