On March 4, 2024, Canada Post Corporation (“Canada Post”) and Purolator Holdings Ltd. (“Purolator”) completed its previously announced sale of SCI Group Inc. (“SCI”) to Metro Supply Chain Inc. (“Metro Supply Chain”), one of Canada's largest privately owned supply chain solutions companies.
The sale process began in 2023 following a detailed review and assessment of Canada Post’s long-term strategic plan. A comprehensive, multi-stage RFP process followed, involving external legal and financial experts to evaluate options and proposals. On January 9, 2024, Canada Post and Purolator announced that they were in the process of finalizing a transaction with Metro Supply Chain.
