Okabe Co. announces the acquisition of Vimco Manufacturing

On October 6, 2021, Okabe Co., Ltd. (“Okabe”) acquired the assets of Vimco Manufacturing from Vimco, Inc. (“Vimco”).

Vimco Manufacturing now operates under the name of OCM Manufacturing LLC (“OCMM”) and will be under the direct management of OCM Inc. (“OCM”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Okabe.

OCMM specializes in the manufacturing of concrete construction products such as bar supports, snap ties, coil ties, dowel baskets, and wire mesh for the commercial/industrial, residential, and heavy highway segments of the construction industry.

Vimco, based in King of Prussia, PA, is a manufacturer and distributor of quality construction supplies and accessories, including a complete rental inventory of concrete forms and equipment.

Okabe, based in Tokyo, Japan, is a full-service manufacturer and distributor of concrete construction supplies, various fasteners, lead fishing sinkers, and lead battery terminals listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange
