CIBC issues C$1 billion NVCC subordinated debentures

On April 19, 2021, CIBC completed a public offering of C$1 billion of 1.96% debentures (non-viability contingent capital (NVCC)) (subordinated indebtedness) due April 21, 2031. The debentures were issued in Canada and sold through a syndicate of dealers led by CIBC Capital Markets.
The net proceeds from this transaction will be used for general purposes of CIBC.
