Brookfield Asset Management completes US$550 million note offering

On September 14, 2017, Brookfield Asset Management Inc. ("Brookfield") completed its previously announced US$550 million public offering of senior notes due 2047. The notes have a coupon of 4.700% and were issued at a price equal to 99.219% of their face value for an effective yield of 4.749%. The notes were issued by a subsidiary of Brookfield, Brookfield Finance Inc., and are fully and unconditionally guaranteed by Brookfield.
The net proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate purposes.
