Brookfield Renewable issues C$500 million of medium-term notes

On August 12, 2016, Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P. ("Brookfield Renewable") completed the issuance of C$500 million principal amount of 3.63% medium term notes, Series 10, due January 15, 2027. The notes are fully and unconditionally guaranteed by Brookfield Renewable and certain of its key holding subsidiaries.
Brookfield Renewable intends to use the net proceeds from the sale of the notes to repay outstanding indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.
