On October 3, 2013, Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited (Fairfax) announced the successful completion of its acquisition of American Safety Insurance Holdings, Ltd. (American Safety). As per the agreement dated June 3, 2013, American Safety stockholders received US$29.25 per share in cash, representing an aggregate transaction value of approximately US$317 million.
