Rogers Communications completes C$200 million acquisition of BLACKIRON Data
Torys acted as counsel to Rogers Communications, working with in-house counsel Janice Spencer, Senior Director and Senior Legal Counsel. On April 17, 2013, Primus Telecommunications Group, Incorporated (PTGi) completed its sale of BLACKIRON Data ULC, PTGI's pure data center operations in Canada, to Rogers Communications Inc. for approximately C$200 million. The transaction signed and closed on April 17, 2013.
The transaction was approved by the PTGi Board of Directors and the Special Committee of the Board of Directors.
