Holcim Group completes C$681 million acquisition of St. Lawrence Cement Group
On August 18, 2007, Holcim Group (Holcim) acquired all the outstanding shares of St. Lawrence Cement Group Inc. (SLC) pursuant to the recommended cash offer to minority shareholders announced on May 14, 2007 of C$43.50 cash per share for all outstanding class A subordinate voting shares of SLC and all outstanding class 1 special shares of SLC, for a total value of C$681 million.
Holcim raised its offer to C$681 million this month from the original offer of C$630 million, increasing ownership to approximately 97% of the class A subordinate voting shares and 100% of the class 1 special shares.
The shares were de-listed from the Toronto Stock Exchange on August 13, 2007.
