GE Water & Process Technologies completes C$760 million acquisition of ZENON Environmental

On May 31, 2006, GE Water & Process Technologies, a unit of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), completed its acquisition of ZENON Environmental Inc. (TSX: ZEN and ZEN.NV.A; OTC: ZNEVF and ZNEAF) for C$24 per share, valuing the transaction at approximately C$760 million (US$656 million). GMP Securities LP and JP Morgan Securities Inc. were financial advisers to the special committee of ZENON's board of directors.
ZENON, based on Oakville, Ontario, is a global pioneer and supplier of hollow fiber membrane technologies for water and wastewater treatment.
