Nic’s practice focuses on privacy, cybersecurity, data governance and litigation. He regularly advises clients on privacy law compliance and data governance in their businesses and in the context of new initiatives and commercial transactions, as well as on data breach preparedness and response. Nic also represents clients in regulatory complaints and investigations, administrative proceedings and civil litigation.
Nic takes a holistic, practical approach to policy, risk management and achieving business objectives informed by his previous experience as a litigator and political staffer.
Nic has appeared as counsel at the Supreme Court of Canada, all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Court and in arbitrations.
