Max practices corporate law with a focus on emerging companies, venture capital and M&A transactions in the technology, life sciences and food and beverage sectors.
Max has operational startup experience as a co-founder of a prior technology venture, where he focused on strategy and raising capital from institutional investors. Moreover, Max was an associate at an investment bank at a Tier 1 Canadian financial institution, giving him keen insights into how investors approach investments. With his background, Max provides a unique perspective to clients at every stage of growth through his practical approach to business and legal issues. He works closely with founders, startup executive teams and investors, guiding them through strategic decisions and corporate legal matters, specializing in company formation, equity and structured financings, exit M&A situations, and corporate governance matters.
Max co-founded a blockchain-based mobility rewards platform, where he managed the development, activities and launch of the start-up company, as well as focused on raising capital from venture capital investors.
Prior to obtaining his JD/MBA, Max was a capital markets associate for a Canadian financial institution, where he worked as an equity analyst in the diversified industrial sector.
Max has successfully completed his CFA Level I and Level II.
