Jaanam’s practice focuses on securities and corporate law, with an emphasis on corporate finance, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions.
She also provides ongoing advice to public companies on their disclosure, corporate governance, and other corporate and securities law obligations.
Jaanam serves on the board of The ITL Network and is an active mentor to internationally trained lawyers across Canada. Her pro bono work includes volunteering with legal clinics in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
Prior to joining Torys, she worked at an international law firm in Toronto.
