Prior to joining Torys, Omid articled at TMX Group Ltd. in Toronto, with the general counsel’s office, providing legal support to the various entities across TMX, including, the Venture Exchange, TSX, CDS, and Regulatory Affairs.

Omid recently completed a Law Practice Program, where he developed essential legal and client management skills in the areas of corporate law, civil litigation, wills and estates, real estate, criminal and family law.

Prior to returning to Canada, Omid and his team lead the creation of FinBig+, a consultancy tool for VISA, to provide easier understanding of regulations and create stronger communication between VISA and FinTech’s.

Additionally, during law school, Omid volunteered with Age UK Camden, a legal clinic, to provide preliminary legal advice to underprivileged elderly clients.
