Critical Minerals for Defence

Senior counsel Arif Virani will speak at Energy and Mines’ Critical Minerals for Defence conference taking place June 9-10 in Toronto. The conference will bring together industry, government and investment leaders to examine how rising defence demand is reshaping critical minerals markets and Canada’s role in defence supply chains.

Arif will chair the panel “First Nations Partnerships and Defence-Aligned Critical Minerals” on June 10 at 11:50 a.m. The panel will explore how First Nations can shape and participate in defence-aligned critical minerals projects through meaningful partnerships that support community priorities, stewardship and long-term economic value.
