ABC Copyright Conference 2026

Counsel Alexandra Peterson will speak at the ABC Copyright Conference 2026 taking place May 7-8 in Edmonton. The conference brings together copyright professionals to discuss developments and practical issues in copyright law.

Alexandra will present the session “Generative AI & Copywrite Through a Canadian Lens” on May 8 at 9:00 a.m. The session will examine how Canadian courts may approach copyright issues arising from the use of protected works in training generative AI, in comparison to the U.S. doctrine of “fair use.”
