2025 IESO First Nations Energy Symposium

Partner and co-head of Torys’ Indigenous practice Valerie Helbronner will speak at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) First Nations Energy Symposium taking place November 20-21 in Toronto. The symposium will examine the changing energy landscape and the contributions of Indigenous communities in shaping Canada’s energy future.

Valerie will speak on the panel “Deals that Deliver” on November 20 at 3:00 p.m. The panel will explore leading approaches to governance, risk management, and economic participation, featuring insights from both community and institutional viewpoints.
