Partner Eileen McMahon and senior associate Melanie Sharman Rowand will speak at the 17th Annual Canadian Summit on Food Safety, taking place on April 18 and 19 in Toronto. The summit gathers the biggest names in the food manufacturing, food service and retail sector to learn, network and connect with others in the industry.
Eileen and Melanie, along with another panelist, will speak on “The regulation of plant-based products, cultivated meat and other non-traditional foods” at 2:45 p.m. on April 18. The session will review the impact regulations will have on new plant-based alternatives and emerging food technologies, how Canada’s regulatory approach compares with the approaches taken by the U.S., and how to adapt to current regulations.
