Budget 2024 revelations on open banking

The federal government announced in the 2023 Fall Economic Statement that it would introduce legislation in its 2024 Federal Budget that establishes a consumer-driven banking framework, also known as open banking, to regulate access to financial data. On the heels of its release on April 16, the panel will unpack Budget 2024 in respect of open banking and share insights on its proposed approach to establish an open banking framework.
