Bill S-211: Canada’s new forced labour and child labour reporting requirements

A part of the “Putting the “S” in ESG” series

In a three part-webinar series, hear from the team at Torys on how the landscape for environmental, social, and corporate governance obligations has evolved in recent years and what this means for Canadian companies.

Bill S-211: Canada’s new forced labour and child labour reporting requirements

As the focus on companies’ ESG practices continues to grow at home and abroad, the federal government has created new legal obligations for companies with a nexus to Canada to report on forced labour and child labour across their global supply chains. This new and far-reaching obligation will apply to a broad set of companies. Corporations with a nexus to Canada must direct their attention to whether they have a reporting obligation, and if so, how to meet it in advance of May 31, 2024.

Join us for the second webinar in this series where we explore the breadth of forced labour and child labour reporting requirements and strategies for companies to consider in meeting this new obligation.

This session will be presented in English.
