Diversity, equity and inclusion programs have been widely adopted by Canadian businesses, and employers are under heightened scrutiny to ensure they are meeting their legal obligations and commitments. This three-part series will examine common pitfalls to avoid in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace, and ways that employers can mitigate legal risks.

Sex and gender

This second session will delve deeper into DEI related issues specific to sex and gender, including specific issues and employer obligations that arise in the context of sexual misconduct based claims, pay equity and pay transparency, current case law trends, tips for Canadian businesses’ on how to mitigate litigation risk for these types of claims, and practical tips on investigating sexual misconduct based claims.
