This session is a part of our Women Founders Series.
Building a startup is hard. Building a startup as a woman adds another layer of challenges. Join Torys lawyers and leading VCs and founders for this series that will cover raising capital, building a team, protecting your IP, navigating growth and more. More sessions to be announced later in the year.
Navigating the various successes and failures that come up as your startup grows requires a lot of planning, and an ability to evolve those plans over time.
In this session, Emily Smiley, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Investor Relations at The DMZ, will be joined by Kyla Bolden, Founder of Wiz Kid Coding, and Monika Jaroszonek, Co-founder of Ratio.City, to discuss how to move from strategy to execution as you grow your startup. Monika and Kyla will share the lessons they learned as they built their companies, from turning an idea in to a product, to funding its operations, acquiring customers and growing a team. As part of Canada’s leading incubator, Emily will also provide insights in to the various issues, and solutions, that she sees startups encounter as they scale. Attendees will receive takeaway materials to action the insights they have learned.
