Torys ranked #1 in Canadian issuer debt for the first half of 2026 by LSEG

Torys has been ranked number 1 in All Canada Debt by deal count in LSEG’s Issuer Legal Advisor table. The table is part of LSEG’s Global Capital Markets Legal Advisors Review report for H1 2026.

The firm was ranked at the top after completing 13 transactions in the first half of this year. Notable deals include:

• Brookfield Asset Management in its US$1 billion public offering of senior notes, including US$550 million of 4.832% notes due 2030 and a US$450 million re-opening of its 5.298% notes due 2036
• 407 International in its C$1 billion public offering of medium term notes, including C$500 million of 4.48% Series 26-A1, due 2036, and C$500 million of 5.06% Series 26-A2, due 2056
• Manulife in its S$500 million private placement offering of 2.880% subordinated notes, due 2036, in Singapore
• Innovation Federal Credit Union in its C$150 million private placement of 4.225% senior fixed rate deposit notes, due 2028
