Statement on London, Ontario attack

Tomorrow marks the funerals of four fellow Canadians in London, Ontario, who were brutally killed while out for an evening family walk in what many leaders are calling a terrorist attack. On behalf of all of us at Torys, we write to express our deepest condolences and support for the family and to condemn all acts of hate and violence motivated by Islamophobia or any other prejudice against any of our communities. This is an attack on the values that we uphold in our lives at Torys and beyond.

We also wish to express our sympathy for the widespread fear, pain and suffering that this attack is causing and to reaffirm that we stand united with our people and communities in denouncing all acts of hatred.
