Lou Cusano honoured with Queen's Counsel designation
Congratulations to Torys’ Calgary Managing Partner Lou Cusano, who has been honoured with a Queen’s Counsel designation in Alberta.
It is tradition in the province of Alberta for the Lieutenant Governor in Council, under authority of the Queen’s Counsel Act, to appoint lawyers who have made particular contributions to the legal profession or public life in the province as Queen’s Counsel. Individuals are evaluated based on detailed criteria of competence, professional qualities, their contribution to the administration of justice and their contribution to the community.
One of the firm’s senior regulatory partners, Lou was named Managing Partner of the Calgary office in 2018, bringing with him decades of experience in administrative, regulatory and environmental law as well as commercial litigation in the energy sector.
