Eileen McMahon's Opinion on U.S. Cannabis Policy Included in Multiple Publications
Partner Eileen McMahon has weighed in on the latest cannabis developments south of the border, where a “2013 Obama administration guidance that suggested the federal government would not intervene in U.S. states where the drug is legal” was rescinded.
The article mentions how the U.S. announcement could ultimately benefit Canada as it will prolong U.S. companies entering the Canadian market.
However, Eileen told the press the “U.S. attorney general's stance will also create added complexity for Canadian cannabis companies that have direct or indirect U.S. operations,” particularly those listed on the TSX.
Eileen and her team have written extensively on the cannabis industry. You can read their articles by heading to the Emerging Trends in the Cannabis Industry page.
