Torys is happy to celebrate the second annual Amica Helping Hands fundraising dinner, which benefits seniors in need. Amica uses the generously donated funds for its basket program, which to date has delivered over 19,400 baskets filled with non-perishable foods, supermarket and drug store gift certificates, warm blankets and more to Canadian seniors over the holiday season. Funds from the annual dinner are also given to community centres and not-for-profit agencies which prioritize improved quality of life by providing healthcare, supportive housing and transportation for underprivileged seniors.
This year’s fundraising dinner was held in Toronto on November 2 at the Omni King Edward Hotel. The event featured psychologist and author Susan Pinker, in addition to neuropsychologist Dr. Shayna Rosenbaum, who researches aging and memory.
We thank all those who made this important event a resounding success and we are proud to have been involved for another year.
