The conference brought together industry experts from business, government and community for an exchange of ideas on the future of Canada’s oil & gas industry. Oilweek highlights the strategy of consolidation for smaller players discussed at the conference by Neville, who spoke on the “investment attraction” panel. Below is an excerpt of the article:
Neville Jugnauth, partner at Torys LLP, added that “The sector does seem to be very fragmented, and the distress for one particular service provider can simply be because they have been told to cut their prices, and there really is nowhere to go. Some consolidation is necessary, because if you are too small, then it is a tough game to play.”
