On February 8, Torys recognizes Lunar New Year. Depending on the region, Lunar New Year may be marked by prayers, ceremonial rites, folk dancing, fireworks, opulent feasts or exchanging of gifts. Widely celebrated around the world with a number of traditions, it is a time for celebrations that often emphasize concepts of renewal, traditional cleansing or “spring cleaning”, family gatherings, a positive attitude, resolving disagreements and paying respect to elders and ancestors. For those celebrating, we wish you and your families a happy and prosperous new year!
